From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits the sweet spot between laid-back and energetic. It’s family-friendly, dog-friendly, and more importantly, wheelchair-accessible throughout-parking, entrances, seating, and even the restrooms. Now let’s talk food-because that’s where Cleethorpes Taphouse & Kitchen truly shines. Their menu feels like a celebration of British comfort food with international twists thrown in. Think Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce-a classic done right, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. But don’t stop there. The Seafood Basket, Scallops, and Calamari are standout dishes, perfect if you’re in the mood for something from the sea.
If you're a burger lover, the BBQ Burger is juicy and packed with flavor. Vegetarians and vegans aren't left behind either-with vegan small plates and vegetarian mains that don’t compromise on taste. Craving something indulgent? The Loaded Fries, Duck Topped Chips, and Cheesy Chips are dangerously addictive.
Pizzas here are bold. Try the cheekily named What the Cluck Pizza or turn up the heat with the Spicy 12-Inch Pizza with Sliced Jalapeños. They’ve also got Ham and Cheese Pizza and Garlic Marinara for those who like to keep it classic. Starters like the Spicy Sausage and Potato with Mozzarella really set the tone for what’s to come.
For those with a sweet tooth, Cream Tea with a warm Scone, or a slice of their Cheesecake, will not disappoint. Whether it's a casual brunch, lunch with friends, or a late-night dessert run, the options are as comforting as they are delicious.
And drinks? Cleethorpes Taphouse doesn’t mess around. Their beer selection is extensive and thoughtfully curated-perfect for pairing with everything from seafood to burgers. But it doesn’t stop at beer. They also serve wine, cocktails, cider, spirits, and a top-notch coffee and tea selection. It’s a rare place where you can grab a quick espresso, sip a glass of Merlot, or enjoy a craft cider, all without missing a beat.
The restaurant is popular for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and that’s not just marketing talk-you’ll see it in the buzzing crowd. Whether you're dining solo, bringing your family, or catching up with mates, the space adjusts to your vibe. There’s kerbside pickup, takeaway, delivery, and of course, dine-in service-flexible options to suit how you want to eat.
What really sets Cleethorpes Taphouse & Kitchen apart, though, is the quality of experience. It's not just about food or drinks-it’s about how everything comes together: warm service, a welcoming atmosphere, and that subtle coastal breeze that rolls in from the nearby waters.
This isn’t just another seaside restaurant-it’s a place that makes you want to come back.

A group of us came for food and drinks. There's a fantastic range of drinks available but unfortunately the food was really poor. The pizza was beyond burnt and the dirty fries were an absolute rip-off and reminiscent of a late Saturday-night takeaway. There was food on the floor and the toilets were grim. The venue is very dog-friendly, both inside and out. We'd love to return if the cleanliness was improved but wouldn't have food here again unfortunately.
Don't judge a book by it's cover, it's very cool inside The taphouse is staffed by a friendly and attentive crew. The beer selection is awesome and I have found the food to always be generous and tasty.
Staff very friendly and helpful . Service was very quick. Food was excellent and of a very high quality and standard. Pizza probably the best in the town. Yes it can be busy at ti es with a little wait but it’s a local independent business so that is expected and for the service and quality I wouldn’t expect anything different
I took the warden and my son to this restaurant, and we absolutely loved the pizzas. The food was fantastic! We also tried the mozzarella cheese sticks, which were incredible, especially with the superb chili and garlic sauce that accompanied them. The only minor issue was that our table was a bit dirty from the previous customers, but I quickly had it wiped down. Overall, the total bill for our food and drinks was £70, and I can't wait to return!
Had a Birthday meal here for 12 of us and was fantastic service. Drinks were flowing, food was amazing and all but one thing was served at the same time and perfect so i am happy with that! Great place to go to
